So, I visited Anne Frank Park in Eindhoven with the family today. About halfway there, my back tire deflated. I was like, "Shit, this sucks!" So, we biked the rest of the way (me sweating like a pig, even though they don't sweat) and got to a clearing area in the park. Good god, it is GORGEOUS(fear the alliteration!)!! There is actually moss on the tree trunks, and the grass is green (haha, I typed in grean. Probably because in Arizona we don’t use the word green to describe anything there) and kinda squishy. There were a bunch of random sculptures standing around, and I swear that that park was larger than downtown Mesa. It was like someone plopped a giant splotch of wild green (with the occasional bike paths) in the middle of the residential part of the city. The pavement was cracked, and occasionally a paving stone was loose so that when you biked over, it wobbled and made a hollow rattling sound. Of course, my family and I were the slowest on the bike lanes. Oh, let me tell you about the bike lanes.
So, those of you in AZ recall the wide-ish bike lanes we’ve got painted to the side of the road (unless you’re in Tempe), right? Well, here you’ve got a whole individual lane on either side of the street, between the sidewalk and the street for bikes. The bike lanes (like a bike road, really. Sometimes the lane is divided into two lanes for the two directions you’re going) are usually identified by their red brick color and are generally wide enough for three people to ride side by side on street bikes. They’re pretty nice, but considering my tire’s flat and they can be scary sometimes (scooters like to take a ride there, too), I think I’ll stick to walking. Speaking of walking, I’m off to do post-office stuff (getting stamps, mailing things, etc…) and maybe shop a bit. Oh, so here are some pics, if I can get ‘em to work. Just pics of today, the rest of the photos are on my dad’s comp, to be added laterish, if possible. The captions will be added underneath, giving something of an explanation.

^ ambiguously titled, "thinking of you." This was the largest shoe size at the store.

^ I have no idea what that face was for... Biking at the Anne Frank park.

^ A quick shot of my living space. The white blobs are my little plush harp seal and my socks. You can see a couple of things, try and name them! There's my boarding pass on my side table. Printed comp version, of course. A couple of books, my new journal, the infamous pink folder...

^Final bike picture. Actually, it's my dad's bike. I've got a mountain bike here. But I stole his cause it's cooler looking. Love the hat! Yay Chucks!

FORTY SEVEN! Hat! *Squee!* ^____^
The lighting in your first Anne Frank Park picture is really lovely. It looks like the air itself is shining, and the whole park looks ethereal...
Oh! And the covers on your bed - they're identical to the ones I had in rez (except mine were green, blue, and purple). IKEA love, yay! :)
SOOO BEAUTIFUL. Stay there forever. We'll miss you, but we'll be selfless so you can escape Arizona.
